Owl Graduation Card Instructions


1.  Cut your gray piece of paper in half so each piece is 8 ½” x 5 ½”, this will be your card base.

2. Fold each piece in half (hamburger style) so your card is 4 ¼” x 5 ½”, this is your card base.

3. Choose stamp to use for the card background, stamp all over front of card.

4. Choose stamp to use for the inside message, stamp inside message, set aside to dry.

5. Using your black cardstock punch 2 scallop circles, 2 ovals & 4 hole punch circles.

6. Using your brown cardstock punch 2 tabs & 2 scallop circles.

7. Using your orange card stock punch 2 labels, 1 five petal flower & 1 large circle.

8. Using your white cardstock punch 4 ¾” circles & 1 large circle.

9. Choose 1 2” x 12” piece of accent paper from book.

10. Take your 2 black scallop circles and cut in half, these will be the owl’s wings.

11. Put glue along the cut edges of 4 scallop pieces.

12. Place the wings on top of the brown scallop in a vee shape, this is the owl’s body.

13. Put glue on the 4 white circles and place them on top of the 2 brown tabs.

14. Put glue on the 4 black hole punch circles and place them on top of the white circles to make the owl’s eyes.

15. Cut 2 petals off of the 5 petal flower punch for beaks.

16. Glue the beak to the back side of the tab punch to create the owl’s head.

17. Put glue on the bottom of the backside of the head and place on top of the owl’s body.

18. Cut both label punches in half, these will become the owl’s feet.

19. Put glue on the top of each tab half and place on the bottom backside of the body.

20. Using your 2 black oval punches draw a line a line across the middle lengthwise and crosswise.

21. Cut from the end of one line to the next all the way around to form a diamond shape.

22. Using the crop-a-dile punch a small hole in the center of each diamond.

23. Place a brad in the hole and open the back.

24. Glue the mortar on the owl’s head.

25. Cut your decorative strip of paper into 5 ½” sections, trim to whatever height desired, example is 1 ½” tall.

26. Cut your large circle in half.

27. Glue the half circle to the back of the decorative paper near the top.

28. Glue the decorative paper and circle to the face of the card.

29. Glue the owl to the face of the card.

30. Stamp congratulations in the half circle.
