What is the inspiration?
To encourage one another through Christ.
Philippians 2:1-2 New International Version (NIV)
1 Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.
What is the Card Ministry?
People keep cards on their refrigerators, bookcases and desks because of how they make them feel. What a great way to express this congregation’s love and sense of family and purpose.

The purpose & goal of the Card Ministry is, to lift one another up, to encourage others, and to celebrate, as we share God's love through handmade cards. A card, made with thought and prayer, allows us to plant seeds of truth along with a loving and caring message. All the fun of creating handmade cards out of paper and glue has a real purpose—to minister.
Sometimes a personal note can make all the difference and lift our spirit and help us during a time of challenge or struggle. The Card Ministry will be sending caring thoughts at difficult as well as joyous times, like sickness, loss, bereavement, birth, confirmation, graduation, or major life transitions.
Volunteers will get together once a month to hand make cards. Cards will be made for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, engagements, births, appreciation, encouragement, those who are hospitalized, those who haven’t been to church in a while, those who can’t get out of the house as much and so much more.
Sending a card of encouragement to first time visitors lets people know that we care… inspiring them to come back to our church.
What will we do?
The 3rd Saturday of each month The Card Ministry will teach a technique or demonstrate a card. Supplies will be provided; a small donation is requested to help with supplies and postage.
Anyone is welcome; cards made can be donated or taken home. The Card Ministry will use the donated cards made at the monthly events to encourage the congregation throughout the year
